Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante snubbed an approach from Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of the year, Le Parisien claims.
The Frenchman has been a pivotal figure for the Blues in midfield since his arrival from Leicester City more than five years ago.
He has no plans of leaving the club anytime soon, but there remains frequent speculation that Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.
According to Le Parisien, the French giants made an approach for Kante in January through his representative, but it was unsuccessful.
The 31-year-old did not respond to Les Parisiens’ attempt, and it is also reported that he does not have any intention to return to Ligue 1.
Kante’s current deal with the Blues expires in the summer of 2023. The club are likely to open talks over an extension at some point this year.
The World Cup winner is widely expected to put pen-to-paper on the renewal, considering he remains an undisputed starter when fit.
