Disney Plus has revealed an official synopsis for the third season of The Mandalorian.
Din Djarin and Grogu are back in the third season of The Mandalorian, which is currently slated to premiere in March 2023 on the Disney Plus streaming service. Though details about their return are being kept under lock and key, as with most Star Wars projects, Star Wars News Net has stumbled upon a synopsis for the upcoming season.
“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue,” reads the season three synopsis. “Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
During an appearance at Brazil’s CCXP, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau opened up about the third season, which wrapped production this past Spring. “I will say that the scope of it is getting bigger, we have really cool space battles, we have lots of Mandalorians, we have the planet of Mandalore which we’ve been talking about for a long time,” Favreau told fans in attedance. “We get to see the Mandalorian culture, and many of the wonderful actors you’ve seen in previous seasons return, and you’ll see them all work together on this show. It’s been a very ambitious season, a lot of our directors have returned, we have a very experienced team that have been working together for a long time and I think a lot of people are going to enjoy what we have in store.”
The people behind the Star Wars series
The Mandalorian features Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers, Werner Herzog, Omid Abtahi, Taika Waititi, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Temuera Morrison and Katee Sackhoff, among others. The series was created by Jon Favreau and executive produced by Dave Filoni, with episodes directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Carl Weathers and Robert Rodriguez.
