Arsenal are likely to negotiate a new contract with William Saliba over the coming weeks, according to Goal.
The centre-back has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club since joining from Saint-Etienne three years ago.
He has spent time on loan with three different teams. He is currently plying his trade for Marseille in the French top tier.
According to Goal, the Gunners have been keeping a close eye on Saliba’s progress and will soon open contract talks.
Saliba’s present deal expires in June 2024. The north London giants are keen to extend his stay for another two seasons at least.
The Frenchman has yet to make a decision over his future, but has hinted that he could stay with the Gunners next term.
The 21-year-old has insisted that he would not accept a bench role, but would be happy to play for the club in rotation.
It remains to be seen where his future lies beyond the summer.
