Whew chile! Tony Rock kicked off his stand-up comedy routine on Friday by reminding the audience about the Oscars slap involving his brother Chris and Will Smith.
In a #TSRExclusive clip, Tony can be seen opening up his Raleigh, North Carolina, performance with a warning, saying, “If you think you gonna walk up on this stage, this ain’t the muthaf—ing Oscars.”
“And if you walk your a— up here, you ain’t nominated for s—t but these muthaf—ing hands!” He exclaimed. “Oh, we going to pop the rest of the year. Every time you see me do a show, pop!”
“I didn’t want to start the show like that!,” he continued, throwing his hands in the air. “You gonna hit my motherf—ing brother because your bitch gave you a side-eye?”
This is the second time Tony has addressed the incident. Earlier this week Tony shared his thoughts on what happened during his Q&A session on Twitter, 20 Questions Tuesdays. Where he responded “It’s on bro” when asked if he plans to “fight fire with fire” or take “the professional route.”
The show took place hours after Will released a statement announcing his resignation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. Although he resigned, the Board is still scheduled to meet on April 18th.
